We just got in from seeing the stage version of Peter Pan, starring Cathy Rigby. I've always loved this musical, the song Neverland gets me every time. It was a fun production, although it suffered a tiny bit from the slightly tired feel you get from a road show. Unlike the last time, when we saw Hairspray, this night the audience was overpopulated with kids, mostly little girls, with their hair up in big bows and wearing schmancy outfits. An attempt to visit the ladies' was a bit like swimming upstream. During the quieter parts, like the songs, we noticed an odd rustling noise emanating from every part of the theater. We finally realized it was candy wrappers, boxes and bags. So we got to feel like grouchy curmudgeons, until of course we clapped along with all of the kids to save Tinkerbell!
I do believe in fairies!
