Advent calendar
Had this idea last night for a really quick and inexpensive Advent calendar.
With a red marker (cherry scented... yum!) I transformed plain white envelopes into "air mail" deliveries from the North Pole! The pine drying rack was picked up in Camden Passage years ago, and it holds 24 envelopes absolutely perfectly. Serendipitous!
For Christmas Day there is a mysterious box to open. Hmmmmm...
Until the first one is opened this evening, I can't show you what is inside the envolopes, but this photo gives you a teensy hint.
Here's another clue... last year I was blown away by the genius creativity of this, and have been trying to think of a way to incorporate the idea into my own decorating ever since.
Its not as beautifully made as this, nor as fun as this, but I had a great time making it. It will be almost as much fun to open!
Cheers,
Jenny

Now that's the cutest advent calendar I've seen in a while. Do you make a new one each year?
