Felt peppermint candy star!

Feltstar

Tada! Here is the felt star that I designed over Thanksgiving and I've been making them ever since. It reminds me of peppermints or candy canes when made in white felt with red stitching. And doing the stitches the quick way rather than blanket stitching, you end up with red angled stripes around the edges that gives it the peppermint look. Add a button in the middle and it looks postively edible! But please don't test this, I imagine the taste is more like cotton and wool.

Here is the result of my recent efforts, with some scotties who appear to be playing Hide and Seek.

And as promised... the pattern! Click to see the full size version and copy to your desktop for printing, or follow the grid to draw your own. Have fun!
