The dollhouse makeover
We finally got some glorious sunshine today! The wind is whipping things up outside, but everything looks bright and fresh. The house is full of light... perfect for photographing the dollhouse, after its recent makeover. This is how it looked before...
...and this is how it looks now!
It has green window boxes and gingham curtains... (I think I may have overdone the gingham, but I couldn't stop myself)
A mailbox and an embroidered welcome mat (which I forgot to photograph properly)...
And my favorite part... a little clothesline complete with teensy clothespins!
Now that the exterior is spiffed up, I can turn my thoughts to a redecoration of the inside. I already have the cutest doll furniture that I got for it ages ago, very Swedish folk-arty looking. And now I'm also thinking of who might live in this charming little casa. None of my current softies are the right scale, so I am thinking of making some little person (creature?) in the right size. Any ideas?
If only fixing up a full size house was this easy!
Cheerio,
Jenny

it's so pretty! well done.
and we can NEVER overdo gingham. Or polka dots for that matter!. i have the Vistorian Playmobil dollhouse but i never redid it because i was affraid that i'd ruin the whole playmobil look.
because i would. ^_^
well done once again. love love love the flowers and the letter on the mailbox! i'm a sucker for little details. ^_^**

AWWWWWW...that is the most adorable dollhouse ever! I had one similar (but pretty dern ugly, comparison-wise) when I was a young lass...now I can't wait to try my hand a second time around with my wee gurl. Thanks for the amazing inspiration!
I can hardly wait to see what you do with the interiors. It makes me giddy just thinking about it! ;~)

My Molly would sell her Granny for something like this - and probably me too. It's fantastic.
