I stumbled upon a photo recently, which I would like to share. I need to do a bit of set up first, though.
Once upon a time, my family and I spent a year in paradise. That is what my son called it at least. We lived in Hampstead, London when the kids were small, in a house whose back garden led onto Hampstead Heath, an incredible 800-acre park. Thanks to Google maps, I can show you some aerial views... of the heath...
And a bit closer you see our street...
And even our house, the one with the red arrow pointing to it...
We had the top three floors of a five story semi-detached house. There was a narrow walkway between a couple of the houses so we could walk down the street and cut over onto a path (yellow arrow) through the heath and into Hampstead. Which brings me to the photo (found here) that I mentioned earlier...
Boy does this bring back memories. This is the view from the path when walking back towards our house. It was really amazing to live there, it still seems a bit like something out of a novel. Someday when I've had a lot of caffeine I might tell y'all about our adventures. It was pretty neat. But I won't bore you with that at the moment, I'm off on the latest adventure...
Anyways, thanks for joining me on my stroll!
Cheers,
Jenny
