Bags and baggage
Found via how about orange...
the very clever and entertaining web site of Hermes.
Lots of fun things to find when you click on the various images. For example you can print, cut and assemble your own tiny Hermes bag! Plain...
Speaking of bags, does anyone know of a good place to find nice laptop carriers and luggage? We just trekked all over Northpark in vain. Something a little less chichi than Hermes is a bit more our speed.
Cheers,
Jenny

I dunno about luggage, but believe it or not, I found some really nice looking laptop cases at OfficeMax! Leather, real and faux; alligator, faux. RED alligator, even. *drool*

Or if you don't want leather, real or faux, perhaps try the Vera Bradley stuff? I have an Amy Butler pattern for a laptop bag but I haven't managed to get around to making it yet.

You can get a custom laptop sleeve made by Georgia Peachez (here is her etsy shop - http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5108022)
No, I haven't ordered one from her but they look so cute that I keep thinking about it.

Luggage - Macys had the best selection when I needed luggage a few (ok maybe 10+?) years ago. Stuff is still great - brand is Atlantic. A few years after I got it Oprah came on with it as her fav luggage. I can balance two pieces with one finger (they lock into each other) - have had more people stop me in LONG taxi lines because of that, lol.

Crumpler have nutty websites featuring brilliant, well made, clever bags for laptops, cameras and other things. http://crumpler.com/ is the US website, but they have sites in Australia and the UK and probably elsewhere. You can order online or in shops/stockists.
But the websites (and their sense of humour) definitely qualify as nutty!

Queen Bee out of Portland, OR has great laptop carriers. Unique, fun and local girl doing her thing. I bought one of the trucker purses & a wallet. Good quality, durable and extremely functional.

Target or Kohl's is a great source for luggage. I'm still looking for the perfect laptop bag. I want something more feminine that the typical laptop bag.

I cannot recommend crumpler laptop bags enough - have one myself. Lots of padding and pockets for bits and pieces. 5 stars from me.
