Apologies for leaving the wedding photos up for so long, at least I left you with something beautiful to look at. Lots to report and little time to write, but I wanted to let you know what was what.
The day after the wedding, we headed off for our lovely road trip through the Texas Hill Country, staying on the Riverwalk in San Antonio and in an eclectic B&B in Austin. When I find time I'll post some pics, after I figure out how to get them off of Katy's laptop. We had a wonderful, special family together time. However, we came home only to find my mom having a health crisis. After doctor visits and a hospital stay she's back home today and improving, but things were intense there for the last week or so.
There's more...
Upon our arrival home from our trip, and at the end (fortunately) of the first load of wash the old washer finally kicked the washbucket. Katy needed some clean laundry for a retreat in North Carolina the next day, so thank heavens it was her stuff! So we got had to pick out a new washer/dryer set and it was delivered Tuesday (yay!) We actually stood like yokels and watched the new machine running. It has all sorts of bells and whistles (literally) compared to the old one... when the wash is ready, it plays a tune that sounds just like the ice cream truck is coming down the street.
Let's see, what else... Ro is getting ready to head to Singapore tomorrow, my aunt is arriving tonight, Katy gets back on Sunday, and then my dad and stepmom are coming next week. I swear, I need a magnetic board with little figures of all my family members to keep track.
Anywho, I have to zip back to my mom's, I'll post more when I find some breathing room.
Cheers,
Jenny
