You have no idea how weird it is to pick up your newspaper, the one you've been reading every single morning for as long as you can remember, and see your own silly self grinning back at you. The Dallas Morning News for some reason thought my color-and-craft-crazed studio would make an excellent story for their September 11 issue, so there I am, front and center of the Daily Guide. Photo by Louis DeLuca.
I'll give a link to the online version, but it is not nearly as cute as the printed one. I love the fun letters (very Allsorts-ish) some clever person at the paper created.
The whole experience was a blast. Jamie Knodel did the interview and wrote a wonderful article despite my inane babbling. And Louis, bless his heart, usually shoots sporting events and I think my studio was a far cry from the sidelines and locker rooms he's used to. But he was a really great sport, checking his notes and saying things like "I'm supposed to shoot something called a fabric buffet?" or "cupcake stand?" or "jam jars?" and doing his best not to laugh. Anyway, thanks to both of you for helping me feel comfortable in a zone way outside my comfort zone.
Click here to read the full online article, minus a few of the photos. Oh, and you can read where someone left a comment that this room would cause them to have a seizure! Ha!
Hope you all have a safe and wonderful weekend!
Cheers,
Jenny
