In the middle of the night I had a super idea for my dots. I printed them onto inkjet magnetic sheets I had left over from an old project, and they turned out fantastic! You just use scissors to cut them out. I'm finding all sorts of fun places to attach them, like this aqua bucket that holds my dotted fabric (how apropos) and a few are adding some allsortness to the fridge...
Please pardon the grainy quality of this photo, I had to work some photoshop voodoo on it. There is absolutely no light to speak of in my kitchen, especially this corner where the fridge lives. And it is especially dark in here this time of year when it can be gloomy out. Although my kitchen looks out into the den and the courtyard beyond, there are actually no windows in here. And, what lights we have in here are fluorescent. Not good.
The really really good news is that we're doing a bit of remodeling in the kitchen soon! In fact, projects are afoot all over the homestead... some major stuff actually. The really exciting part is that my studio will be moving upstairs into a much bigger room! I'll be honest though, the idea of moving all my stuff upstairs is terrifying... but I'm looking forward to having a different view out my window, and being in a part of the house where I can shut myself away and disappear into my imaginary world. I'll share more when we get closer to starting, and I promise I will share the entire adventure with you! (whether you like or not... ha!)
Later gators! Have a swell week...
Jenny
