A little aqua shelf filled with jars of red and aqua goodies

Where does the time go? I meant to post about this last week, but something came up (more about that later)! I picked up this formerly grungy little shelf a few months ago (you may spot it lurking on the bottom shelf in this photo), and decided it needed a lick of paint. What color? Aqua of course! 

As usual I didn't think to take a "before" shot, but trust me it was not very impressive, the shape of the shelves and the top portion was really cool but the finish was a dull and dirty grayish white.

The shelves are the perfect height for Bon Maman jam jars, of which I have quite a few... I'm not a huge jelly/jam fan, but thanks to Ro I've been able to amass a pretty healthy number of the jars. I love their red gingham lids. They look so cute filed with buttons and such. Now I love my little shelf!

Oh, the thing that came up was an opportunity to go to the Florida SCBWI Conference in Orlando, last weekend! Saturday was going to be completely focused on digital media, and I really wanted to meet Loreen Leedy, an online friend of mine who was one of the speakers. So I packed a bag and off I went! The event was held in one of the Disney World resorts, which was really fun, although I skipped visiting any of the parks (I didn't think it would be all that much fun by myself). But the conference was definitely fun! I was also able to meet Janeen Mason, another online friend, and make a ton of new friends. It was awesome! If you're interested in the options for creating ebooks, Loreen posted the information from her talk here on the "e is for book" blog.

So now I'm trying to get settled back into the groove. I just realized it's way past time to put up the patriotic bunting... so much to do, I'd better get to it!

Here comes the bride... to my etsy shop!

It's easy to imagine these little angels being used in so many ways... not just as a bridal shower gift. She'd make a lovely present for an anniversary, or a Christmas ornament to commemorate the happy occasion. Ahem... presenting my newest ebook ~ Bunnyfur Imagines!

I am giddy-happy to announce the launch of my latest ebook! It is called Bunnyfur Imagines and I am really excited to spill the beans, as it occupied my time for the last several weeks (and had to be put on hold while I was ill). Longtime readers may recognize Bunnyfur and her outfits from my web site. I took that as my starting point and created this fun interactive story app for iPad and iPhone. Now Bunnyfur has her own sweet little cottage...

And you can dress her up and see her in the cheery scenarios she imagines.

I even created some more outfits for her, and gave each page lots of fun interactions.

Like my other two enhanced ebooks (Bunnyfur's Easter Eggs and Who Loves a Little?), I created this one entirely myself using the Interactive Touch Books web-based interface! With every book I make with it, I learn more things that I can do with my books. It is an awesome site, and it's free to use! Is that cool or what?

So anyways... here's how to find my latest book:

1) Download the ITB app from iTunes (click here) and load it onto your iPhone or iPad (skip this step if you've already downloaded it)

2) Launch the app on your device, select "Bookstore" and you'll find my books there!

Eye candy in red and aqua flavors

Yum! Let's spend some quality time, shall we? I can't think of a better way to pass the afternoon than drooling over images featuring my colors of the month... red and aqua! These were all found through Pinterest, my current crush as mentioned in my previous post. I had to follow some of these back to find the original source. One of the things I like about Pinterest is that it does a great job of linking directly back to the source site, much better than tumblr, the other image pinning site. I was in love with tumblr until I realized how easily images could become orphaned from their true origin. Pinterest is set up to avoid that (unless an image is "pinned" from a tumblr feed, thus negating the advantage). So clicking on the images in this post will link you directly to the source. Here we go!

And that brings my tasty tour to a close. Who knew red and aqua could be so satisfying?
