The Christmas decorations are almost put away, but I promised I'd tell you all about the photo shoot last week, and so here are photos I took of some corners that weren't chosen for the shoot, like the white feather tree above, or the frothy yoyo tree that found a happy new spot in the den this year...
The bed was illuminated by the heart wreath from Ikea. I'm leaving it up since it also is kind of Valentine-ish.
And to one side of the bed, Jeff helped me hang an arrangement of plates on the wall. The red checked ones are actually paper plates taped to a platter! (Jeff's idea)
A merry vignette in the den...
And the snow village was revived in the old pine dresser, which looks wonderful in our bedroom. That's my grandmother's spoon collection on the right.
And you saw this snap already, the vintage aqua baubles reflecting sunny windows in the den.
It was a lovely sunny day when I wandered around and took these photos...
But unfortunately the day of the shoot the weather was completely uncooperative. It was so cloudy and gray. But they worked magic with lenses and lights and made my house look like... well... something from a magazine! And did I mention the name of that magazine? Well, its Better Homes and Gardens Christmas Ideas, and they were truly truly awesome and I still can't believe they were here... it all happened so fast! It was a total blast!
So now I just have to wait until later this year to see how the photos turned out. Man, its like being a kid waiting for Christmas all over again!
Cheers,
Jenny
