or this week's My Creative Space, I'd like to show you some creative storage solutions. I realized that many of my crafting materials were stored in a rather dull and uninspiring way, so I came up with some prettier ways to keep things at hand while I'm working on a project. This cupcake stand did able duty on the Fourth, and while it was sitting out filled with cupcakes, I had the idea that my gelato cups might fit perfectly and hold all those odd bits and bobs that are usually just stashed away in jars where I forget I have them. It adds a nice touch of sparkle to the worktable, too.
A couple of weeks ago I picked up these two neat finial thingies at Uptown Country. The tall red one is perfect for organizing my army of scissors where they can be easy to grab and then hang back up again. I'm always losing my scissors among the piles of whatever I'm working on, and this helps prevent that annoyance. Maybe I won't have to keep buying new scissors now!
The shorter aqua one has longer arms, perfect for holding spools of ribbon. Up till now, my ribbon spools have been stashed away in boxes, but this way I can have my most used ribbon right there and it's easy to pull off what I need.
