I just love learning new stuff... today I learned how to make iPhone wallpaper! So I whipped up a few and of course I have to share them with my bloggy pals. In keeping with my theme for February, I chose this adorable pair of sweethearts from a vintage Valentine*, and paired them with a happy dotty background.
In the course of researching this topic, I learned that you can set different wallpapers for your "lock" page and your "home" pages. The lock page wallpaper is what displays when you turn on your phone and you have to swipe to unlock it. The home page wallpaper displays behind your app icons. So I had a little brainstorm and did two versions, one with the kids (lock page), and one without (home page). You'll understand why I did this when you see them in action. Here's the lock page with the swipe bar:
And here's the home page with the app icons:
See? The kids would be covered up by the icons, so I made a nice clean dots-only wallpaper for the home pages. And because I couldn't decide on a background color, I did versions in red, aqua, pink and blue! If you need some help with how to get these wallpapers set up on your iPhone, you can read an excellent post on how to install iPhone wallpaper on She Knows. Now, here are links to the images, just right-click (or control-click on a Mac) and save to your computer.
I think I might make this a regular feature!
Hope you have a swell weekend. We're actually digging out from about five inches of poofy snow that surprised us overnight. It wouldn't be a problem except there was already a layer of ice on the roads. So... we've basically been inside all week going slowly bananas! I can't tell you how much we're looking forward to busting out of here as soon as the roads are drivable. So how's the weather been where you are?
Cheers,
Jenny
