*Updated 2/9/12 ~ If you're interested, there is a newer, slightly different version of this angel, with brighter color and easier assembly. Find it -->here.
I've been working on this little lady all all week, and I couldn't wait until Valentines Day to share it with you! It's a Sweet*heart Angel printable, to say how much I love you guys. As you can probably tell, keeping this blog is a total blast for me, and I am continually humbled and gratified that you keep coming around and being so nice and all. I've said it before, and I'll say it again... y'all rock!
Okay, enough of the gooey mushy stuff, let's make an angel!
Click here to download the Sweet*heart Angel pdf, then print both pages out on good quality paper. I have an Epson printer so I use their Presentation Matte paper and the colors really pop nicely on it. It doesn't have to be heavy weight, but you could use card stock if you prefer, the color won't be as bright, though.
Carefully cut out the main angel shape and the small heart just above her head, and the back and arm pieces.
Insert folded (don't crease) angel piece into your sewing machine and stitch along dotted line.
Spread "wings" open and press with bone folder or similar tool.
Apply adhesive to back piece. I use a roller thingie.
Carefully line up pieces and press together.
Trim off any white that overlaps and shows.
Attach heart to arms with a small piece of tape on the back.
Slide arms over the angel's head and you're done!
You could also attach a bit of thread and let her fly...
Hugs to you my friends! Thanks so much for stopping by, come back soon!
Cheers,
Jenny
