Man, I sure can't sneak anything past you guys! I thought I could slip something new into my Etsy shop without much of a fuss, but next thing I know it is showing up in my Pinterest feed, and Sandy even blogged about it! So I'll come clean... lately I am obsessed with creating digital artwork, especially scrapbooking paper! It's like designing my own line of fabric. This is one of my first offerings, a 16-sheet collection I call Summer Cottage, because it has that colorful, summery kind of vibe. If I had my own Summer cottage, I would fill it with this sort of color and patterns. The great thing about digital scrapbooking paper is that you can print as many pages as you like, whenever you need them. They are also great for using on cards, or tags, or blogs, or web sites, or even on your phone! Oh, or dollhouse wall paper (thanks Tracy)!

My new obsession led to a redesign of my shop graphics and logo. I'm not sure if I ever shared this, but I actually began my career working in a graphic design studio. I often designed pieces that called for illustration, and it was usually easier to do them myself than hassle with hiring an illustrator. When I left that job to have Katy, I was able to get freelance illustration work because of my portfolio. So design is actually my first love, and doing this kind of work just makes me happy happy happy. I've made some more sets besides the one above, too, and will be gradually adding them to Loopsies as I get them all ship shape. The process is not unlike creating a fabric stash, I want to have basics like dots and ginghams and stripes. Of course I can't help designing with brights... have you met me? Here's a look-see of what I've got going:

So Loopsies will continue to have patterns for stitching, but will also have stuff for scrapbooking, and also for papercrafting! Which brings me to another item in the shop... I did up another Bunnyfur paper doll, especially for Easter! She's in the shop as well, and ready to hop into Easter baskets everywhere!

All of these files are instant downloads - meaning that you get to download as soon as you complete payment. No waiting for your humble shop owner to get around to sending them. Having that capability gives me such a creative boost! And the shop is now set up to accept credit cards, since I learned that not everyone uses PayPal.
Sending a big thank you to Pam and Sandy and Kerri and anyone else who pinned and linked and liked. I was feeling a little shy about this new direction, and you gave my confidence the boost that it needed.
Cheers!
Jenny
