Where does the time go? I meant to post about this last week, but something came up (more about that later)! I picked up this formerly grungy little shelf a few months ago (you may spot it lurking on the bottom shelf in this photo), and decided it needed a lick of paint. What color? Aqua of course!
As usual I didn't think to take a "before" shot, but trust me it was not very impressive, the shape of the shelves and the top portion was really cool but the finish was a dull and dirty grayish white.
The shelves are the perfect height for Bon Maman jam jars, of which I have quite a few... I'm not a huge jelly/jam fan, but thanks to Ro I've been able to amass a pretty healthy number of the jars. I love their red gingham lids. They look so cute filed with buttons and such. Now I love my little shelf!
Oh, the thing that came up was an opportunity to go to the Florida SCBWI Conference in Orlando, last weekend! Saturday was going to be completely focused on digital media, and I really wanted to meet Loreen Leedy, an online friend of mine who was one of the speakers. So I packed a bag and off I went! The event was held in one of the Disney World resorts, which was really fun, although I skipped visiting any of the parks (I didn't think it would be all that much fun by myself). But the conference was definitely fun! I was also able to meet Janeen Mason, another online friend, and make a ton of new friends. It was awesome! So now I'm trying to get settled back into the groove. I just realized it's way past time to put up the patriotic bunting... so much to do, I'd better get to it!
